IC CHARACTERISTICS
CURRENT CANON POINT: Varies by meme, but up to the end of episode 9
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Chikai is about 6'1, with curly black hair and gray eyes that have what seem to be permanent bags underneath them. He's pale, and despite being reasonably fit, has a haggard look to him that makes him seem much older than he actually is.
DEMEANOR: Most of the time he acts very casual with people, even strangers, sometimes to the point of over-familiarity, and there's usually an air of condescension and arrogance to him. A sharp eye might notice that he never quite has his guard fully dropped, despite that. As soon as danger emerges, he can flip the switch to a much more ruthless attitude without blinking.
ABILITIES: He's just a normal human mobster, no special powers and not even a particularly cool skill set. He's a pretty good shot with a gun, knows how to make a decent shank, can kick good... and that's about it!
MEDICAL INFORMATION: He has some scars from old injuries, but otherwise nothing of note.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: His backstory contains murder, organized crime, suicide, and dysfunctional family relationships. In particular, his work within the yakuza is very brutal, including torture, drug dealing, guns, and More Murder. As to what he'll react badly to IC-wise, suicide is a very touchy subject for him due to his issues with his parents' deaths. He's likely to be insensitive at best and cruel at worst if it comes up.
OTHER: He tends to be nicer to kids than his fellow adults - especially kids who remind him of his little brother. But 'nicer' is still a very relative measurement.
IC PERMISSIONS
MENTAL: He's a normal human so anyone with powers can use them on him, but I'd like to discuss anything really extensive or serious ahead of time, especially since Chikai himself is not exactly in tune with his own emotions a lot of the time.
MIMICRY: If it's in good humor, he'll roll with it. If it's more obviously meant to be mocking, he'll still act like he's rolling with it, but will probably want to get even at some point.
VIOLENCE: Sure! He’s no stranger to it, as it’s part of his work, and by normal human standards he’s got some decent (if dirty) skills by now. He’s not likely to initiate without reason and would sooner throw someone else under the bus than jump right into a brawl himself, but that definitely doesn't mean he's always gonna be able to avoid it. Any significant injuries I’d like to discuss beforehand, but otherwise he’s fair game.
MAGIC: Similar to the above, there's no reason anyone couldn't use their powers on him, but I'd like to plan anything really extreme ahead of time.
DEBATE: Sure! He loves the chance to talk about how he Definitely Knows Everything.
OTHER / NOTES: He probably won't enjoy any serious flirting or romantic advances - "kisses are the devil", after all - but it's fine if your character wants to give it a shot anyway! Just don't expect much in the way of reciprocation.
